PLOT DATA
Rea Seed plants an extensive corn rootworm, nonrootwarm and soybean plot. In 2023, our plot had record highs which was a monumental moment for everyone.
SOYBEAN SEED TREATMENT
In 2024, Rea Seed installed 4 bulk bins to assist in treating soybeans and provide our customers with better and faster service.
On-site soybean seed treater that includes the following treatments per 1 unit of soybean:
.25 oz Lumitero - Fungicidal Seed treatment. Protection against seed-borne fungi ** NEW THIS YEAR **
.20 oz Sebring - product to control Phytophthora seed rot. ** NEW THIS YEAR **
.80 oz Gaucho - Insecticide to protect against destructive insects. Protects both the roots & the plant.
1 oz PPST 2030 - Exclusive on Pioneer brand soybeans. Helps improve the overall plant health and yields potential
1 oz Inoculant - This extender helps prolong rhizobia up to 120+ days. On-site application days before the soybeans are planted helps the seed perform to the best of its ability
1.18 oz iLevo - Protects against SDS (Sudden death syndrome) and SCN (Soybean Cyst Nematode)
CHEMICALS
In 2021, Rea Seed expanded its operation and began selling chemicals. We specialize in Insecticide, Pre and Post Herbicide, & Fungicide. We give recommendations based on your farming operation and soil/crop needs.
IN 2024, REA SEED WILL BE USING THE FOLLOWING CHEMICALS ON CROPS:

DRONE
In 2018, we purchased one of the first sprayer drones. This 2.5 gallon drone helped us spot spray fields that were difficult to spray fungicide with a helicopter/plane. It also helped us target weeds that popped up later in the season.
In 2022, we purchased a larger drone, T40, which carries 8 gallons. We have found our niche in spraying Burr Cucumber with the drone, and have traveled to many different places around the area to aid in killing this weed.
